Golf Tournament Benefits Springfield Hospital

The 15th annual Springfield Hospital Challenge at Okemo Valley Golf Club on Thursday, September 17, was an excellent golf outing and a successful fundraiser. This year’s tournament proceeds contributed to the purchase of specialty medical equipment.

26 foursomes of golfers competed for team and individual awards and raffle prizes. 35 sponsoring organizations underwrote the tournament, which included a box lunch, dinner buffet, complimentary refreshments on the course, and a gift to every golfer of a golf bag cooler.

Tournament sponsors were Black River Produce, Coverys, Hackett Valine & MacDonald, IPG Employee Benefit Specialists, Kinney Drugs Foundation, Rick Marasa, MD, Springfield Auto Mart, and Springfield Printing Corporation. Club professional, Michael Santa Maria, and the excellent Okemo staff took very good care of the golfers and helped make the event an overall success.
