Springfield Hospital is pleased to announce Lyndsy McIntyre, RN, MSN, CLC, has been named Chief of Patient Care Services effective March 1, 2019. Lyndsy has been employed by Springfield Hospital since 2012, when she joined the nursing staff at the Childbirth Center. In 2015, Lyndsy became the manager of the Childbirth Center and successfully developed a solution-based team, dedicated to quality and process improvements to create a unique patient and staff experience. In 2018, Lyndsy became Director of Women’s Health for Springfield Medical Care Systems, broadening her responsibilities and focus to include overall patient experiences.
Lyndsy holds an Associate’s degree in Nursing from River Valley Community College, and a Bachelor and Master of Science in nursing from Franklin Pierce University, with a focus on nursing leadership. Lyndsy’s clinical experience includes Medical-Surgical Nursing, Vascular Access, VNA home care, and Obstetrics/Women’s Health. Prior to becoming a Registered Nurse, Lyndsy was a LNA and EMT.
“As nurses, on the front line of clinical care, we often carry the answers and skills to address the challenges our patients and organization face in a pragmatic, patient-centered way. I have spent my time working with my team(s) at SMCS identifying clinical needs, and designing evidence-based clinical programs to address the issues,” comments McIntyre. She adds, “These experiences have led me to the next steps in my professional nursing career with a sincere interest and desire to offer an impactful, meaningful partnership with the nurses and patients of Springfield Hospital. With these new responsibilities, I am excited to work with the incredible nursing teams within SMCS, and for the work that lies ahead. I look forward to doing everything possible to provide the best patient care and to meet the healthcare needs of our community.”
