Visitor Policy-Springfield Hospital

Effective July 2, 2020:

  1. One visitor may be allowed per adult patient for the Inpatient Unit and the Emergency Room.
  2. Minor age patients may have both parents present.
  3. Same day appointments for surgery, diagnostic imaging and laboratory services still allow no visitors unless the patient is a minor or is cognitively impaired; and they may have one person to assist. Minors may have both parents present.
  4. Assistants accompanying children under the age of 18 may not bring any additional children onsite.
  5. No visitors under the age of 18 will be allowed onsite.
  6. All visitors must enter the building through either the Main Entrance or the Emergency Department Entrance.
  7. All visitors will be screened for respiratory symptoms and must be masked at all times when in the building.
  8. All screened visitors must wear a visitor badge while in the building.
  9. Visitors must remain with their patient at all times; and are not to walk throughout the building or visit the cafeteria.
  10. Visiting hours are 10 am – 6 pm daily.
  11. Springfield Hospital reserves the right to ask visitors to leave in the event of overcrowding or changing circumstances.
