Volunteers with Springfield Medical Care Systems enrich the lives of our patients, visitors and staff through their generosity of time, energy and talents. Through our program, we strive to match the wishes of the volunteers with the needs of our organization. All volunteers are given the appropriate amount of training to be successful in their role as a volunteer. Most positions require a minimum of two hours per week and we ask for a three-month commitment.
Arlene Pearson has been volunteering in our Pharmacy Department for sixteen years.
“I love volunteering because it allows me to ‘give back’ to all the people that helped me through the years. I love Springfield Hospital and everyone I work with. I like the fact that it is small and everyone knows you. It is a comfortable place to be.” Arlene Pearson
